Nigerian Mr. Incredible (M.I) Saves Accident Victims

During the early hours of Saturday, October
13, 2012, Chocolate City rapper, M.I came
across a gruesome accident along Ikorodu
road, Lagos, involving four people, and
called for help via social media.
The rapper tweeted, 'I'm presently at the scene of
a serious accident…We have been here for almost
an hour.. And no rescue service!!! Any one that
can help. Opposite Obanikoro estate on Ikorodu
road. One passenger looks like they are still alive
and can make it.. But we need towing trucks and
jaws of life to save him… Pls help. At least 3 girls
dead, the driver still alive'.
The rapper, who was still there when the
emergency services arrived, saw them pull out
one of the passengers "One girl has been
removed from the car and is dead… Pretty young
girl.. My God…"
By the time we got to the site of the incident, the
rapper and his team had left, and the victims had
been taken away but a few people were gathered
near the scene, watching officials of the Lagos
State Transport Monitoring Agency (LASTMA)
clear the debris and tow the damaged car, a
white Toyota Camry with plate number,
TF787KJA, away from the road.
Although no one could say for sure what the
cause of the accident of the accident was, a few
of the onlookers who spoke to us on the grounds
of anonymity, assumed it was a case of either
over speeding, drink-driving or both, as they
suspect the victims could have been coming from
a club.
One onlooker, a man in his late forties said 'I'm
sad and speechless, look at the damage. The way
these youths ride cars these days, one just has to
be prayerful. They speed so much…I pity these
ones o, it's such a loss'. As the conversations and
speculation continued on the sidelines, the
LASTMA officials busied themselves with removing
the street light which fell on the car and hindered
the flow of traffic.
Meanwhile, one of the officials confirmed to us
that the accident was indeed ghastly, with only
two survivors out of the four passengers. He
added that they were all taken to the Lagos State
Accident and Emergency Centre. A doctor in the
hospital, speaking anonymously, claimed that
only one victim was admitted and has been
responding to treatment.
M.I and his team were returning from Club
Octopus, the venue of the Hennessy Artistry
event, where he performed alongside Naeto C.
Reports from his team reveal that although the
artiste found the sight shocking, he is presently
at home, and in good condition.
However, he had a few words for drivers, which
he shared on twitter: 'Pls, people drive safely
home, buckle up for safety and do not drink and
drive. Also don't let your drunk friends drive.'

Lagos Pastor In Prison For Visa Fraud

Pastor Nwusulor Emmanuel of House of
Liberation Assembly located at Canal
Estate, Isolo, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, is
now cooling his heels at Kirikiri prison after
he was arraigned before Isolo Magistrate's
Court, Lagos for his alleged involvement in
visa fraud.
The 30-year old pastor was alleged to have
defrauded Joseph Ojini of the sum of N322,000
under the false pretence of procuring visa en
route to Dubai to pursue his football career broad.
The Ebonyi State-born pastor allegedly promised
Ojini to secure a visa to enable him pursue his
football career abroad through his missionary
contact abroad.
He asked the victim to pay the money in question
which will cover the visa and introduction of an
agent in Dubai who will eventually facilitate his
getting a club.
Ojini gladly paid the money and was grateful to
Pastor Emmanuel, unknown to him that he had
paid for trouble.
Instead of Ojini achieving his dream, he ended up
in jail in Dubai because of the fake visa he used to
travel.
P.M.NEWS gathered that when he travelled to
Dubai, the immigration authority discovered that
his visa was fake and was photocopy of another
person's visa.
He was arrested and detained for illegal entering
the country. Consequently he was deported back
to Nigeria.
When Ojini went to Emmanuel and narrated his
experience and demanded all his money, the
pastor started dodging him and did not refund
the money. When Ojini went to Isolo Police Station
and reported the matter, Pastor Emmanuel was
arrested and charged to court.
He was charged for obtaining under false
pretence and stealing under sections 312 and
279 of the Criminal Code Laws of Lagos State of

Ede town, headquarters of Ede North Local
Government Area of Osun State, was on
Wednesday, thrown into mourning when a 27-
year-old woman, Mrs Shekinat Abdurazaq, took
her own life.
The deceased, a native of the area, gave birth to
a set of twins 11 days before.
According to an eyewitness, the deceased had
taken one of her children to school and, on her
way back, jumped into River Osun.
It was gathered that she offered prayers on the
bridge before jumping into the river.
Efforts by beggars, who beg for alms on the
bridge to rescue her, proved abortive.
It was further learnt that when her husband, who
was informed of the incident, got to the bank of
the river, he also attempted to jump into the river
but was prevented by the people around who
later alerted the police.
He was subsequently arrested and detained at
the Police “A” division in Ede.
No reason was advanced for the deceased’s
action as she had no quarrel with her husband or
any member her family.

Goodnight Pain. "thieves, thieves" he
screamed, it was almost funny. Not until
more voices joined the chorus as they
screamed and shouted on us. We could
have ran at least to save our lives, but
our intentions were genuine and little
did we know how the day would end.
From a handful of young men shouting
and throwing questions at us, it
escalated to a crowd of angry mob.
There was no way we could escape this
one, so we calmed down. They pushed
us around and then stripped us all.
These men pulled us pants down, we
were more than embarrassed, the whole
community watched, I recognized few
faces from the crowd. Obviously they
were so afraid to say "stop" then the
beating started, I wished it to be just a
nightmare. But it was real, these men
were determined. They dropped heavy
rocks on our heads, they pounded our
faces with large planks, blood covered
our eyes, they matched and kicked us
right on our bleeding nostrils, we
couldn't breathe.
"Bring tire" one of the men repeated, until
they brought the tires. "Oh God!" We
watched the crowd watch us, we raised
hands of plea, we couldn't speak, Some hid,
some shot videos and took pictures. there
was no one to stop this. This was the point
we knew it was over. We felt pain, helpless
and hopeless. I thought of my siblings, I
wondered how my mum would take this. She
would fall apart. I begged God to hold her for
me, comfort and make her strong for me, I
prayed same for my friends. Then we started
crying, we cried together. the tears gave us
headaches. We looked up high, the sky was
still. Rings of tires landed on our necks, they
kept hitting us, but we were numb already.
They set us ablaze. We rolled around, tried to
reach for each other, I wondered who would
give up first, the fire burned our bodies. it
hurt, it hurt and then it hurt. But suddenly
the pain stopped, Then I couldn't hear any
other thing, but silence. I thanked God. the
pain was over and Gods glory was revealed.
Goodnight pain. RIP ALUU#4:

Two Nigerian Pilgrims Arrested In Saudi Arabia For Drugs Possession

Two Nigerian pilgrims have been arrested in
Saudi Arabia for allegedly being in possession
of banned drugs.
The pilgrims were among the thousands
currently undergoing the hajj operation in
Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia and
comprise a male and female.
The two pilgrims could face death penalty for
carrying banned drugs. In Saudi Arabia, the
punishment for carrying banned drugs is
death when convicted by the laws of the
land.
P.M.NEWS gathered from a source currently
undergoing the hajj operation in Saudi
Arabia that the two pilgrims were from Lagos
State, but the Lagos State Government said
the pilgrims were from Kwara and Ekiti
states. The banned drugs were said to be
hidden in garri. This has made the Saudi
authorities to ban carrying of foodstuff to the
holy land by Nigerian pilgrims.
The Nigerian female was said to have been
nabbed by vigilant Saudi security operatives
at the King Abdullaziz International Airport
on Thursday for being in possession of
banned drugs. The other culprit was
reported to have been arrested on Sunday
after being found with substance suspected
to be cocaine.
The names of the pilgrims could not be
ascertained by our source as at press time. It
was gathered that the pilgrims, if found
guilty according to Saudi law, would be
executed.
Chairman, Lagos Hajj Ad-hoc Committee,
Alhaji Abdullateef Abdulhakeem, confirmed
that two pilgrims were arrested by the Saudi
Authorities but denied that the arrested
pilgrims were from Lagos, saying they were
from Kwara and Ekiti States.
As a result of the development, the Lagos
State Government has barred the remaining
pilgrims going to Saudi Arabia from carrying
foodstuffs.
Over 3, 000 Lagos pilgrims have so far been
airlifted to Saudi Arabia out of the 3,885
pilgrims from the state, while airlifting of the
pilgrims may be concluded this week.
The Lagos State Government has vowed to
deal with any pilgrim who misbehaved in
Saudi Arabia during next month’s hajj. To
ensure hitch-free hajj, the Lagos State
Government said it had set up a special
taskforce made up of officials of the Rapid
Response Squad, RRS, Chief Security Officer,
CSO of the state and Governor’s Monitoring
Team officials, among others to monitor
Lagos pilgrims in Saudi Arabia and deal with
erring ones.
Commissioner for Home Affairs and Culture, Alhaji
Oyinlomo Danmole said government would not
tolerate any form of indiscipline from any Lagos
pilgrim.
“Any pilgrim who misbehaves will be dealt with.
We also have a tribunal in place to try erring
pilgrims in Saudi Arabia,” he said, adding that
during the last hajj, a pilgrim who misbehaved
was prosecuted after the hajj in Lagos.”
Chairman, Hajj Ad-hoc Committee, Abdulhakeem
said government had adequately prepared to
ensure hitch-free hajj as it had organised seminar
to enlighten the intending pilgrims on the basic
rules of hajj. “We have engaged the services of a
separate airline to convey our pilgrims to Saudi
Arabia. We will not be using the same airline with
other pilgrims in the Southwest. We have also
decided not to keep our pilgrims longer in Saudi
Arabia after the hajj.

Another Jungle Justice: The Norm In Nigeria Now?

It happens everyday but rarely caught on
camera – when the people take the law into
their own hands and become judge, jury and
justice in Nigeria. Or what is commonly
called ‘Jungle Justice”.
There is a system of administration of justice
in Nigeria which runs parallel to the regular
system. This system is devoid of any
pretence to civilization. The system is
as pedestrian as it is mediocre. The system is
as disgusting as it is appalling. The system is
as brutal as it is ruthless. The system is as
embarrassing as it is shameful. The system is
as nihilistic as it is atavistic. Everything
about the system yells stone age,
backwardness, under development and
retrogression. Welcome to Nigeria's jungle
justice system.
Disputes in Lagos are often settled in a
manner such as that seen in the video
because the state justice system is regarded
by most Nigerians as broken.
An Amnesty International Nigeria news
report described the Nigerian justice system
as “utterly failing Nigerian people.”
“Nigeria’s prisons are filled with people
whose human rights are systematically
violated. Approximately 65 per cent of the
inmates are awaiting trial most of whom
have been waiting for their trial for years.
Most of the people in Nigeria’s prisons are
too poor to be able to pay lawyers, and only
one in seven of those awaiting trial have
private legal representation.” – Amnesty
International
And often justice in Nigeria can turn violent.

Woman Falls Pregnant after Having Sex with Brothers 15 and 17 Years Old

A married mum of three fell pregnant after
having a sordid affair with a schoolboy and
his teenage brother at the same time — then
did not know which one was the father.
Claire Louise Roundill, 32, plied the 15-year-
old boy with cannabis and bombarded him
with hundreds of texts and naked pictures of
herself before driving him to a secluded
location to have sex.
Roundill, from Hull, claimed she was initially
unaware of his age but had sex with him
again when she knew he was under the age
of consent.
Hull Crown Court heard she was also having a
relationship with his 17-year-old brother.
Then she became pregnant and did not know
which boy was the father.
Today she was given a nine-month
suspended sentence after admitting sexual
activity with a child, possessing and
supplying cannabis.
She must also sign the Sex Offenders’
Register for ten years.
Jharna Jobes, prosecuting, told the court:
“On the first occasion they had sexual
intercourse, she did not know he was 15 but
she accepts she discovered he was 15 and
went on to have sex with him again.
“During this time, the defendant was also in a
relationship with his brother. She became
pregnant.”
The court heard Roundill sent the younger
brother text messages, asking to meet up,
and pictures of her naked breasts.
Ms Jobes added: “They met up and drove to
Hessle Foreshore and had sex in her car. The
relationship carried on after he turned 16.
“He said she told him she was pregnant and
was not sure which brother was the father.”
The court also heard that Roundill had an
abortion after discovering she was pregnant.
Roundill’s barrister Charlotte Baines said the
married mum was having “a difficult time” in
her life when she embarked on the
relationships.
She said: “She was suffering financially and
her marriage was in real trouble.
“She is not the type of defendant the court
needs to send to prison immediately.”
Passing sentence, Judge John Dowse told her:
“The court must mark its displeasure at this
offence. You now have a criminal record for
the rest of your life."
However, the father of the two teenage boys,
who cannot be named for legal reasons,
slammed the sentence as a "slap on the
wrist".
He said: “If it had been the other way around
and this was a man having sex with a 15-
year-old girl, he would have been locked up,
without a shadow of a doubt.
"But, because she is a woman, she has
walked free.
“She took advantage of both my sons. When
my elder son dumped her, she targeted the
younger. She planned it.
“It was disgusting what she did."

Confirmed: Pentagon Deploys Military Forces to Jordan-Syria Border

US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta has
confirmed that US troops have been dispatched
to the Jordan-Syrian border to help bolster the
former’s military capabilities in case violence
escalates in the volatile region.
"We have a group of our forces there working to
help build a headquarters there and to insure
that we make the relationship between the
United States and Jordan a strong one so that we
can deal with all the possible consequences of
what's happening in Syria," Panetta said.
Panetta’s comments came during a NATO
conference of defense ministers in Brussels,
where he said the US had been working with
Jordan to monitor chemical and biological
weapons sites in Syria and help the country deal
with Syrian refugees crossing over the border.
The US has previously used Jordan as a base for
other Syria-related military activities. In May of
this year, Washington held military drills in Jordan
dubbed ‘Operation Eager Lion,’ which saw around
12,000 troops from several nations participate in
undisclosed training exercises.
A US defense official in Washington said the
forces were composed of 100 military planners
and other personnel who had stayed on in Jordan
after attending the annual exercise in May.
Several dozen more had subsequently been flown
in, and they are operating from a joint US-
Jordanian military center north of the capital, the
official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told
AP.
The Obama administration denied accusations in
the Syrian media that the exercises were a threat
against President Assad, and maintained that the
action focused on the treatment of refugees, anti-
terrorism tactics and naval interception of
smuggling vessels.
Following the operation, a small US contingent
stayed behind to establish the center in Amman,
paving the way for the arrival of more personnel.
“We have been working closely with our Jordanian
partners on a variety of issues related to Syria for
some time now,” Pentagon Press Secretary
George Little said. Citing Washington’s concern
over Syria’s stockpiles of chemical and biological
weapons, he said that the US has been planning
“various contingencies, both unilaterally and with
our regional partners.”
The US has long maintained concerns about the
Assad government’s arsenal of chemical and
biological weapons. In August, US President
Obama said the movement or utilization of
chemical weapons would constitute a “red line”
which would change Washington’s “calculus”
towards Damascus.
Last week Panetta said intelligence suggested
that Assad’s government had moved chemical
weapons to protect them, though they are
believed to be secure.
The Syrian conflict took an unexpected turn last
week when mortar fire struck across the border at
neighboring Turkey, sparking outcry from the
Turkish government who subsequently returned
fire. Turkey deployed 25 new F-16 fighter jets to
reinforce its borders this week as NATO pledged
support if the conflict spills into the country
again.
Since uprisings against the embattled President
Assad began last year, the UN estimated that
more than 20,000 people were killed in the
conflict and some 700,000 fled Syria to seek
refuge in neighboring countries.

Two Of The Uniport Students Burnt To Death, Recorded a Song "Heart of the City" – Very Touching

We’ve all heard the news, we’ve all seen the
pictures, and those of us who were able to
stomach it took a few minutes to watch the
horrific video. Four students of the University
of Port Harcourt were beaten and burnt to
death by the people of Aluu Community last
Friday October 5. Reasons behind the
brutality remain sketchy but one thing we all
know is that, no matter what they did,
Chidiaka, Tekena, Lloyd and Ugonna didn’t
deserve to go like this.
It turns out that 2 of the 4 victims, Lloyd
( Big L) and Ugonna (Tipsy) were up &
coming musicians as well. They were both
featured on this song titled “Heart of the
City” by another newcomer called Timi Kay.
When you listen to the lyrics, you’d
understand where they were coming from.
Could it have been a premonition? I’ll try not
to be too dramatic about it. In any case, you
couldn’t have handpicked a better song to
highlight the f*@kery that has just occurred.
The song talks about how wicked the
word is – It says no love in the city. A
really good rap song.
They sounded like American rap artists. It
was played by a radio station in Ph this
afternoon as they where commenting on
what happened. The boys were supposedr to
have a show this week in Uniport.
The music is great. Ironically the lyrics talked
of doomed hateful society, full of hate, crime
and death. Chai, we just lost some
overwhelmingly handsome talented Igbo
boys to heartless beasts in human form.

Nigerian Senate To Stop Kids Of Public Officials From Studying Abroad

If a bill proposed by Senator Basheer Garba
Mohammed succeeds, children of public
office holders would be restricted from
schooling abroad, except for specialized
programmes or courses not offered in the
nation’s educational institutions.
The bill among other objectives is aimed at
restoring the nation’s public educational
system by discouraging public officials from
sending their children and wards to foreign
schools.
Besides, senators have accused some
committee heads of using their positions to
influence the implementation of only
constituency projects in their senatorial
districts.
Mohammed noted that aside from neglect
suffered by public schools, the desire of
many public officials to educate their
children overseas had been a major source of
capital flight and brain drain. He stressed
that in this regard, there was the need for
the Senate to adopt drastic measures to
rescue the ailing educational system.
“Today, in this digital age, the pupils sit on
bare floor. You then ask, what manner of
leaders of tomorrow are we producing? You
may also ask, where are the children of
senators, honourable members, ministers
and governors? If our children attend such
schools, can we afford to leave them in such
a sorry state?”
The senator representing Kano Central
stated that the country’s educational system
had continued to suffer serious setbacks
because political office holders and policy
makers had given an impression that they
had no confidence in the quality of
education.
He described the bill as a patriotic call for
sacrifice to restore confidence to the
country’s educational sector.
“We should be proud of what we have and
Nigeria cannot develop without a sound
educational system. You cannot be a
minister or commissioner of education or of
health and refuse to patronize your own
system and expect the system to improve”,
Mohammed said.
The bill, however, proposed an option of a
special tax for defaulters, which would be
channelled toward revamping the ailing
educational system in the public sector from
primary through secondary to tertiary levels.
According to the sponsor of the bill, the tax
would be determined in due course.

Kinfe Kahssaye, AirNigeria CEO- Resigns (Sahara Reporters)

Kinfe Kahssaye, the Chief Executive Officer of
AirNigeria, has resigned from the troubled
airline.
SaharaReporters learnt that Mr. Kahssaye
finally decided to step down yesterday after
discovering that the airline was unlikely to
return to business. Air Nigeria has been
dogged by huge debts owed to commercial
banks by its owner, Jimoh Ibrahim. Mr.
Ibrahim, a rogue businessman with a
reputation for taking over well-known
businesses and then running them aground,
has been unable to meet his airline’s
obligations to service providers in Nigeria and
around the world.
A source at the grounded airline told
SaharaReporters that Mr. Ibrahim’s inability to
provide funds to get the last two planes in the
airline’s fleet airworthy led to Mr. Kahssaye’s
decision to resign his appointment yesterday.
Mr. Kahssaye recently returned from trips to
the US and the UK. A source disclosed that
the overseas trips were a desperate attempt
to revive the comatose AirNigeria. “He found
out during the trips that the dream of saving
the airline is a hopeless one,” said our source.
The virtual collapse of the airline adds to the
business woes of its owner, Mr. Ibrahim. The
shady businessman is also embroiled in a
public and legal feud with the original
directors and founders of Newswatch,
Nigeria’s premier news magazine. After
acquiring controlling stakes in the magazine,
Mr. Ibrahim made a bizarre decision to shut it
down. The original founders, including the
magazine’s CEO Ray Ekpu, accused Mr.
Ibrahim of fraud, asserting that he had not
paid the agreed sum for his majority stake in
the weekly publication. The Newswatch case
is headed for the courts.
Recently, Mr. Ibrahim unilaterally fired
majority of workers at the airline with due
process, the workers in turn embarked on
street protests to push back against the
businessman.
SaharaReporters learnt today that Mr.
Ibrahim’s workers at his Abuja NICON Luxury
Hotels are gearing up for a protest tomorrow
in Abuja over poor conditions of service and
nonpayments of wages.
Mr. Kinfe is owed five months of unpaid wages
according to insiders knowledgeable about his
resignation.

President Jonathan Donates N17.6bn To Flooded States...Sahara Reporters

President Goodluck Jonathan this morning
announced the donation of N17.6bn to
flooded states in the country.
The donation came several days after many
states were ravaged with flood, which led to
the death of about 147 people.
Also, many farmers had also committed
suicide due to loss of the farm produce.
Curious enough, Jonathan did not mention
the farmers in his early morning broadcast
where he announced the donation.
He said, "This include immediate provision of
a total of N17.6 billion in direct financial
assistance to the affected states and some
federal Government agencies responsible for
disaster management.
"States will receive a total of N13.3 billion
while the federal government agencies will
receive N4.3 billion." Text Of President
Goodluck Jonathan's National Broadcast On
Flooding
Fellow Nigerians,
1. Over the past few weeks, unprecedented
floods have ravaged many parts of our
country, rendering tens of thousands of fellow
Nigerians homeless, and causing massive
destruction of property, farmlands, and
infrastructure across the country.
2. I wish to express our deep commiseration
with all those who have lost loved ones; those
who have lost their property; as well as all the
affected communities and institutions.
3. It is sad that this global phenomenon of
devastating floods has come to Nigeria at this
time.
4. I want to reassure all Nigerians that the
Federal Government is prepared to do
everything possible to mitigate the impact of
this natural disaster.
5. I had earlier set up a Presidential
Technical Committee to visit all affected areas
with a view to properly assessing the impact
of the floods. The Committee has since
submitted an interim Report.
6. The Report, which contained a number of
recommendations, was presented to key
stakeholders including the leadership of the
National Assembly and Governors of the
affected States.
7. The Technical Committee will continue to
go round the country while the Vice President
and I will also visit some of the affected
communities. When we receive the
Committee’s final Report, the Federal
Government will further initiate medium and
long-term measures to check future flood
disasters.
8. In the meantime, relevant government
agencies have intervened to provide relief to
the affected persons in collaboration with the
State governments.
9. The National Emergency Management
Agency (NEMA) has so far spent N1.314
billion to provide immediate relief materials.
The Ministry of Works has spent N556 million
on the repair of collapsed bridges and the
construction of bye-passes; while the Ministry
of Environment has spent N95 million on
sundry relief measures.
10. In addition to this, the Federal
Government has decided on a number of
measures to further ameliorate the situation.
These include the immediate provision of a
total of N17.6 billion in direct financial
assistance to the affected States and some
Federal Government Agencies responsible for
disaster management. The States will
receive a total of N13.3 billion while the
Federal Agencies will receive N4.3 billion.
11. Based on the present assessment, the
States have been categorized into four
groups: A to D. All Category A States will
receive N500 million each; Category B States,
N400 million each; Category C States, N300
million each; and Category D States, N250
million each.
12. Category A States: Oyo, Kogi, Benue,
Plateau,
Adamawa, Delta, Bayelsa
and Anambra.
Category B: Jigawa, Kano, Bauchi, Kaduna,
Niger,
Nasarawa, Taraba, Cross-River,
Edo,
Lagos and Imo.
Category C: Kwara, Katsina, Gombe, Ogun,
Ondo,
Ebonyi, Abia and Rivers.
Category D: Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, Yobe,
Enugu,
Ekiti, Osun, Akwa-Ibom, Borno
and FCT.
13. To further intensify their intervention
activities, the following agencies of the
Federal Government have also been allocated
funds as follows:
• Ministry of Works   – ; N2.6
billion
• National Emergency Management
Agency
- ; N1.1 billion
• Ministry of Environment - N350 million
• National Commission for Refugees –
N150m
• Technical Committee on Floods Impact
Assessment
- N100 million
14. I have also set up a National Committee
on Flood Relief and Rehabilitation to assist the
Federal Government to raise funds to mitigate
the pains and ensure the effective post-
impact rehabilitation of victims. This
Committee will be co-chaired by Alhaji Aliko
Dangote and Mr. Olisa Agbakoba, while Dr.
Mike Adenuga, Jr. will serve as the Chief
Funds Mobiliser.
15. The full membership of the Committee
will be announced immediately after this
broadcast.
16. Fellow Nigerians, let me use this
opportunity to thank State Governments,
members of the National Assembly, private
individuals, agencies of government, private
sector institutions, NGOs, faith-based
organizations, and philanthropic groups who
individually and collectively have risen to the
aid of persons and communities affected by
the floods.
17. This humanitarian and compassionate
spirit that has been on display in the past few
weeks reassures us that, at critical moments,
Nigerians are able to come together in pursuit
of a common purpose.lk
18. My Fellow Compatriots, let me once
again reassure you that this Administration
remains fully committed to the welfare and
well being of all Nigerians at all times.
19. May God bless the Federal Republic of
Nigeria.
20. I thank you all.
